It was cranberry season. A woman, discovering a beautiful clearing in the forest, began picking berries…
Placing a quickly filling basket nearby, she pinched the berries with both hands. Suddenly, a bear appeared before her, its paws full of cranberries, and carefully offered the berries, not wanting to frighten the picker.

This surreal and somewhat comical scene transforms wild nature into something human-like, while the woman’s reaction oscillates between fear and wonder. The bear’s gesture can be understood symbolically: nature, often perceived as threatening or alien, can offer unexpected friendliness, which we do not always recognize or accept.

The work invites the viewer to see nature not merely as a backdrop or a resource, but as an equal actor with its own surprising initiatives, perhaps more human than we imagine.
